How is our ocean now?

Hello everyone :) . This time I'm gonna write the important issue that we have to take care. What is it? Just read, give comment or suggestion and do it. Thank you ^_^

Outline :

PROBLEMS :

1.How many problems are discussed?

= 2

2.What are they?

a.Species that live in the oceans are affected by plastic debris in the ocean.

b.Spoil the beauty of the ocean.

3.What expressions are used to introduce the problems?

Plastics touch all our lives, from the  packaging of the food that we buy, the clothes that we use, the transportation such as cars and motorbikes that we often drive. But a lot of the plastic that you touch in your daily life is only used once and thrown away.

4.How is the problems illustrated further?

Many people still dispose the garbage in the river and ocean. Because so many rubbish in the ocean, it makes the ocean dirty, spoil the beauty of the ocean and species that live in the ocean affected by the plastic and causing destruction of marine life.

5.What results are discussed for each problem?

a.Government action, make some regulation and give punishment for people that violate the regulation.

b.Community action, to make campaign and give some knowledge related how important to keep clean the environmental especially ocean to society and give some explanation how if the ocean full of the plastic.

SOLUTIONS:

1.How many solutions are given?
= 2

2.What are they?
a.To increase the price of plastic

b.Do campaign and seminar

3.What two different groups of peiple does the writer say are responsible for these solutions?
a.Government

b.College student

4.How would the solutions would be implemented?
a.Government will guve regulations and give punishment for those who violate the regulation.

b.College student do some campaign and seminar and also educate the society

5.What the modal verb structures are used to make the suggestions?
= Must, should, need to

"No-one in their daily life within a period of 10 minutes isn't touching something that is made of plastic," said Professor Andrew Holmes. Plastics touch all our lives, from the packaging of the food that we buy, the clothes that we use, the transportation such as cars and motorbikes that we often drive. But a lot of the plastic that you touch in your daily life is only used once and thrown away. Do you know where is the plastic is ending up? Ocean. So much of this plastic is ending up in the ocean that in jus few years, we might end up with a pound of plastic for every three pounds of fish in the sea. But the future of plastics in our ocean will be determined by the way we handle plastics on land.

There are two main problems related to plastic waste that ending up in the ocean. The first one is species that live in the oceans are affected by plastic debris in the ocean. The last one is spoil the beauty of the ocean. As the plastic disintegrates, it ultimately becomes small enough to be ingested by a wide range of life forms. Plastics are deadly to a number of species including marine birds and sea turtles. Plastics enter the food chain when ingested by aquatic organisms and the impacts go all the way up the chain to humans. Plastics act as a sponge, soaking up other toxic chemicals and pollutants in the ocean. As they break down, they release these into the environment as well as the additives used to give them their properties, such as colour, which in turn can be highly toxic. Last week, a small male pilot whale was found struggling, unable to swim or breathe, in a Thai canal near the Malaysia borderThe whale vomited up five plastic bags during the rescue attempt. It died on Friday, five days after the attempt began. A necropsy revealed that more than 17 pounds of plastic had clogged up the whale’s stomach, making it impossible for it to ingest nutritional food. This waste was in the form of 80 shopping bags and other plastic debris. The second problem is plastic spoil the beauty of the ocean. Plastic waste in the oceans poses a serious environmental problem. UV rays from the sun and salt from the sea water cause the plastic to break down, which releases chemicals into the water and damage the coral reefs. Plastic poses some unique problems for ocean ecosystems. Some plastics decompose within a year of entering the water, leaching to potentially toxic chemicals such as bisphenol A, PCBs, and derivatives of polystyrene. For example, garbage problems that occur on the Island of the Gods and a number of islands in Indonesia. Every beautiful island rainy season in Indonesia will 'harvest' plastic waste from the ocean. As a result, marine biota will be threatened, as well as the Balinese people in this case who directly feel the impact on garbage piled on the shore. In fact, the beach is one of the main assets of the island of Bali that relies on the tourism sector. This is contrary to the principle of sustainable tourism where caring for natural resources, especially beaches, is the key to attracting tourists to come back to Bali.

There are a wide range of innovative efforts to raise awareness about ocean garbage and cleanup all of it. The first one is from Government. People likes use plastic because the price is cheaper than the tootebag that eco-fiendly, so government must increases the price of plastic by 90% from the normal price, for example the price of 1 plastic is 5.000,00, the government must raise it to 50.000,00. It will makes people think twice to buy and use plastic, and also government should make regulation and give punishment for those people that violate the rules, it can be 1 month imprisonment or 1.000.000,00 for someone throw one garbage. The second one is do some campaign and seminar to society related how important to safe the environmental especially the ocean from the platics waste, teach them how to reuse the plastic, how to sort garbage and follow up their responses when we do some campaign, we have to observe it directly and need to do it together, I believe with real action, our environmental and ocean will safe.

So, let's keep our environmental and our ocean clean, let the ocean give the beauty of his part, we are human not 'human error', it means that we know the best action to give to our environmental and ocean, we live in them and we have to take care of them.
